If you’re a BPCA Registered technician or involved in the pest control industry, you can now earn CPD points by completing our APC, Night Shooting, and PDS1 courses. These courses have always delivered high-quality, practical training – and now they carry added professional value through the BPCA CPD scheme.
What Courses Are Eligible for CPD Points?
Here’s a closer look at the three BPCA-recognised courses now offered at S&H Academy:
PDS1 – Proficient Deer Stalking Certificate Level 1
The PDS1 course is designed for those entering the world of deer management. It covers:

Once you completed the PDS1 Course you also get an access to Large Game Meat Hygiene Course.
Large Game Meat Hygiene Course includes:
Module 1: Hygiene rules and proper techniques for the handling, evisceration, extraction, and transportation of wild game animals after shooting

Large Game Meat Hygiene Course includes:
Module 1: Hygiene rules and proper techniques for the handling, evisceration, extraction, and transportation of wild game animals after shooting
Module 2: Identifying Normal & Abnormal anatomy, physiology
and behaviour of wild game
Module 3. Pathological changes in wild game due to disease environmental contamination and other factors.
Module 4: Legislation and administrative provisions on animal and public health, and hygiene conditions governing the placing of wild game on the market
Final Exam
Delivered by experienced stalkers and instructors, the PDS1 is not just a qualification – it’s a foundation for anyone wishing to stalk deer safely, ethically, and with confidence.
